Welcome to the Burke/Springfield/Fairfax (BSF) Chapter of the Compassionate Friends (TCF). We are so sorry for your loss. The loss of a child is the most painful and traumatic experience in life. Simply, there are no comparisons to this type of devastating loss.
Through TCF we reach out in grief to all parents, siblings and grandparents. We offer compassion, sympathy, understanding and hope. Our purpose is to help bereaved families in the positive resolution of grief following the loss.
Bereaved parents and families from all cultures and beliefs are welcome to attend. You are not required to speak or share unless you wish to do so. A Lending Library of books dealing with grief, loss, coping and healing is available.
Chapter activities have included a Mother's Day Butterfly Release, Father's Day Picnic, a December Candle lighting, a Holiday Hug event, special speakers and performers and special topics of interest at the monthly meetings along with general bereavement sessions.
